Our Expertise

Upstream

Nigeria’s upstream sector continues to expand, opening up more market opportunities. The growth of Nigeria’s offshore exploration and production activities is supported by the government, with moves such as providing key incentives and policies to unlock investment opportunities, resulting in a growing list of international oil and gas companies interested in exploring alternative fields to replace the maturing offshore producing sites.

Petrogas currently co-owns and co-operates the Egbolom Field, located in OML-23. With this, as well as by leveraging on our excellent technical execution methodologies and outstanding social and corporate nimbleness, we are positioned strongly as the best solution provider for the numerous Niger Delta fields with little or no production due to technical, commercial, and/or regulatory challenges.

As the energy sector moves towards net-zero, we are operating conscientiously, with the goal to develop and exploit available hydrocarbon reserves as speedily, efficiently, and cost-effectively as possible for all our stakeholders, in order to arrive there with a strong advantage.

Assets Acquisition

Our marginal field, Egbolom, located in OML 23, lies in the eastern delta and is part of the NNPC/Shell Joint Venture (JV). The licence contains one producing field, Soku, which has been a major gas supplier to Nigeria LNG (NLNG) since 1999. Soku is located in a coastal swamp zone, around 40 kilometres southwest of Port Harcourt. The field facilities are mounted on piled platforms and can be reached by boat or helicopter.

We aim to build a sizeable upstream portfolio through the acquisition of proven reserves and near-term assets within West and Sub-Saharan Africa.
